Candidate Psychometric Assessment

The term assessment refers to the process we engage in with our candidates, with their permission, to assist our clients evaluate the best fit for a role they are recruiting for. However, a key principle at all times, is to ensure that the use of testing based assessment forms only one aspect to the overall assessment of a candidate for a role.

We critically evaluate the process of using assessment instruments and implement testing practices in a way that is the most beneficial to both our candidate and our client.

We may use assessment instruments for a range of reasons. To reiterate, assessment instruments are used within the context of the overall advisory process and the use of this form of assessment aims to complement the recruitment decision-making and planning process for our clients.

Assessment instruments may be used to provide additional information for our clients. The aim is always to assist our clients in the recruitment decision making process. We do not use careers tools and inventories as substitutes for good overall assessment or advisory techniques, nor do we believe the information they provide be accepted without further questioning or contextualisation. However, when used in a professional manner, this form of assessment can help our clients to sort out best fit for functional roles, industry fit, organisational values and needs, identify occupational preferences, decision-making styles and behaviours, and personality preferences.

We are currently accredited to administer and feedback the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), one of the world's most recognised assessment tools designed to help identify thinking preferences within individuals, pairs and teams.

We are also accredited to deliver the Birkman Method tool designed to identify preferred interests, behavioural styles and needs. Both tools have been proven to be effective in supporting professional growth and development.

We are also accredited to administer and feedback several new instruments including the Majors Personality Type InventoryTM (MajorsPTITM), and the Function-Skills Development AssessmentTM(FSDATM).

We are consistently monitoring world's best fit assessment tools in the context of the recruitment process and will endeavour to offer these tools to our clients.
